Volunteer Opportunities

For more information on individual or group volunteer opportunities, please contact Valerie Valentine-Heath, Volunteer Coordinator, at 817.886.7101 or vheath@allchurchhome.org.

All Church Home for Children values volunteer support and offers a variety of opportunities for volunteers to assist in the fulfillment of our mission.

Care Closet Volunteer - Work with other ACH volunteers to help sort, organize and inventory donated items for the children and their families. Monday-Friday, during regular business hours.

After-School Tutor - Provide after-school tutoring and help children and youth with homework. Monday-Thursday, 3:30-4:15 p.m. (K-2nd), 4:15-5:00 p.m. (3rd-5th), 5:00-6:00 p.m. (middle school, high school, or extra tutoring hour).

Clerical/Administrative Volunteer - Provide office assistance with filing, copying, mailings, compiling training manuals and returning phone calls. Monday-Friday, during regular business hours.

Landscape Cleanup/Maintenance Volunteer - Pull weeds, trim bushes and clear light brush at our Broadway and/or Wedgwood locations. This can be an ongoing project, or a one-day group project. ACH has limited access to gardening tools, trimmers, etc. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools.

Maintenance Project Volunteer - Assist the ACH Maintenance Department with various projects around our campuses. Projects include vacuuming and washing our company vans, landscape maintenance (raking/bagging leaves, pulling weeds, planting flowers, etc.), organizing the food bank, washing windows, painting caution areas with caution paint, and other outdoor painting projects.

Donations Program Volunteer - Coordinate an off-campus donation or collection drive. Personal hygiene products, school supplies and new or gently used clothing are but a few of our regularly-needed items. You can serve as a one-time donor or a point of contact for an organization willing to receive a list of our current needs.

Supper Club Volunteer - Provide one meal per month for the Emergency Youth Shelter.

Note: Some volunteer opportunities require background checks and drug/TB screenings.
